The Del Mar Dons will head out on the road to face off against the Harker Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Del Mar couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 35-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of University Prep Academy.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Harker beat Lincoln 56-52 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Harker.
Harker's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Advay Monga, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Monga's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bowen Xia, who scored 13 points along with 8 assists and 4 steals.
Del Mar's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Harker, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Del Mar came out on top in a nail-biter against Harker in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, sneaking past 55-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Del Mar since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
