Crescent will be defending their home turf for the first time on Saturday when they go up against Lyle/Wishram at 2:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close match.
Crescent have to be hurting after a devastating 22-52 loss at the hands of Quilcene last week. Crescent were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-44.
Meanwhile, Lyle/Wishram had to kick off their season on the road, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against Oakville as the team secured a 76-6 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 64-6.
Lyle/Wishram's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Crescent's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Lyle/Wishram can add another positive mark to their record or if Crescent can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Lyle/Wishram's step.
