The Pocatello Thunder put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Blackfoot by a score of 67-57. Given Pocatello's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Blackfoot is ranked 56th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Blackfoot's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dax Whitney, who scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Bodkin, who scored 13 points.
Pocatello's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Blackfoot, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pocatello will take on Highland at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blackfoot, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Thunder Ridge at 7:30 p.m. Thunder Ridge is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
