The Bermudian Springs Eagles had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They breezed by York County Tech at home to the tune of 35-0. The result was nothing new for Bermudian Springs, who have now won five matches by 30 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Jack Gautsch, who picked up 65 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 54 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Tyson Carpenter got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Bermudian Springs' victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37 points. As for York County Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bermudian Springs will take on Littlestown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Littlestown knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Bermudian Springs likes a good challenge. As for York County Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hanover at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Hanover is ranked 521st, while York County Tech is ranked 539th).
