The Florence Christian Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Pee Dee Academy Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pee Dee Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Florence Christian, who comes in off a win.
King's Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Florence Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 41-35 W over the Lions.
Florence Christian relied on the efforts of Anna kate Huggins, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Emerson Poston, who scored ten points along with eight steals and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Huggins has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Hicks, who scored four points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Pee Dee Academy ended up a good deal behind the Saints on Friday and lost 30-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Pee Dee Academy has scored all season.
The win got Florence Christian back to even at 10-10. As for Pee Dee Academy, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Florence Christian came up short against the Eagles when the teams last played back in January, falling 31-22. Can Florence Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
