The East Carter Raiders won the last time they faced the Greenup County Musketeers, and things went their way on Saturday too. East Carter walked away with a 48-38 victory over Greenup County.
Leading East Carter to victory were Abby Boggs and Kinsley Rutledge. Boggs scored 11 points, while Rutledge scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Avery Hall was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
East Carter pushed their record up to 5-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Greenup County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
East Carter will take on Eminence in a holiday battle at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Eminence will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 247th, while East Carter is ranked 95th). As for Greenup County, they will head out on the road to face off against Tolsia at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
