Auburn lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Tri-City, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Tornadoes on Monday. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

Peyton Campbell was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Campbell is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, Auburn got a massive performance out of Ledger Munds, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Brady Boylen, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Auburn's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Tri-City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Auburn will face off against Athens at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tri-City, they will take on Calvary at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
