The Gross Catholic Cougars had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They breezed by Brownell Talbot at home to the tune of 74-35.
Despite the defeat, Brownell Talbot had strong showings from Matt Schinzel, who scored 14 points, and John Schinzel, who scored 2 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. The matchup was Schinzel's third in a row with at least ten points.
Gross Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Brownell Talbot, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gross Catholic will take on Skutt Catholic at TBD on Saturday. As for Brownell Talbot, they will be playing at home against Arlington on Saturday.
