On Thursday, Countryside Christian had to suffer through a rough 79-37 loss at the hands of Saint Francis Catholic. Countryside Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Saint Francis Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brett Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds. The game was Thomas' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Banks, who scored 13 points along with 9 steals and 5 assists.
Countryside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Saint Francis Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Countryside Christian will stay at home for another game and welcome Meadowbrook Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 4th. Saint Francis Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Oak Hall at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st.
