West Wendover claimed a resounding 60-16 victory over Silver Stage at home. West Wendover might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven matches by 25 points or more this season.
West Wendover's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Narcizo Silvas, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Martinez, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
West Wendover pushed their record up to 10-4 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.22 points. As for Silver Stage, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
West Wendover will head out on the road to face off against North Tahoe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Silver Stage and Sierra Lutheran will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Sierra Lutheran has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 6.
