Richland lost to Central Cambria on the road by a decisive 63-47 margin on Monday. Richland was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Central Cambria apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Central Cambria found their leader in underclassman Brayden Swope, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Swope scored 15 or more points. Joseph Iacono was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Richland's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Central Cambria, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Richland will be playing at home against Somerset at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Somerset is ranked 460th, while Richland is ranked 446th). As for Central Cambria, they will head out on the road to face off against Greater Johnstown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Greater Johnstown will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
