Things were looking good for Henderson after they put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Coatesville.
Maia Royer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Carfagno, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI.
Meanwhile, East had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Longhorns get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by six runs or more this season.
Ferri Ava made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She also put up four hits, which were her first of the season. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Catanach Isabel and Caelyn Rodriguez did most of the damage at the plate: Isabel went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple, while Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Emma Antczak was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
