The Scranton Knights''s four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 35-14 margin over Wallenpaupack Area. Scranton's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
Billy Maloney got back to being his usual excellent self, as he threw for 109 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Memphis Shotto got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Wallenpaupack Area still got an impressive performance from Dylan Podrazil, who rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
Scranton's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Wallenpaupack Area, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scranton will challenge Abington Heights at 1:00 p.m. on November 4th. As for Wallenpaupack Area, they will head out on the road to face off against Dallas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dallas is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
