The Mancos Bluejays can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sargent 76-40 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Mancos has managed all season.
Mancos had a senior duo take command as Andrew Jaime scored 22 points and Brian Veach scored 21 points. That's the first time this season that Jaime scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Wyatt, who scored ten points.
Sargent lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kade Temple, who scored 11 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Garcia, who scored five points along with four steals.
Mancos pushed their record up to 6-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Sargent, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mancos will take on Dolores at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dolores is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Sargent, they will be playing at home against Center at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Center will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Sargent is ranked 107th).
