On Thursday, the West Warwick Wizards faced the Toll Gate Titans in a battle between two of the state's top teams. West Warwick blew past Toll Gate 50-21 at home. The victory was just what West Warwick needed coming off of a 62-18 loss in their prior matchup.
West Warwick found their leader in underclassman Calla Davide, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. Brea Lima was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
West Warwick's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Toll Gate, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Warwick won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Scituate at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (Scituate is ranked eighth, while West Warwick is ranked 15th). As for Toll Gate, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Narragansett at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Narragansett is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
