On Friday, The Mountain Ridge Sentinels faced the Lone Peak Knights in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Mountain Ridge fell 14-3 to Lone Peak. It was the first time this season that Mountain Ridge let down their fans at home.
Mountain Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Lone Peak, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.
Mountain Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lone Peak will head out on the road to face off against Corner Canyon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Corner Canyon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten games -- so hopefully Lone Peak likes a good challenge.
