Softball Recap: Mosley Wins Going Away Against Bay

Mosley's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bay Tornadoes as the Mosley Dolphins made off with a 14-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Dolphins in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now won eight in a row.

Mosley let Hayden Higgins and Jacey Nelson run wild. Higgins scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Nelson scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. Nelson also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Makenzy Grewe, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.

Mosley's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mosley will venture away from home to challenge Bozeman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bay, they will head out on the road to take on Wakulla Christian School at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wakulla Christian School is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 18.5 runs per game this season.
