There's no place like home for the Crest Lancers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Humboldt with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 44-27. The win was all the more spectacular given Crest's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while Humboldt is ranked 99th).
Despite the loss, Humboldt still got an impressive performance from Sam Hull, who scored ten points.
The win got Crest back to even at 4-4. As for Humboldt, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crest will take on Northeast at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Humboldt will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Erie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
