The Quad Cities Christian Eagles waltzed into their match Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pathway Christian 61-24 at home. Considering Quad Cities Christian has won four contests by more than 30 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Quad Cities Christian was led to victory by Cobie Becker-Paradiso and Seth Karl. Becker-Paradiso scored 17 points, while Karl scored 20 points along with six assists and three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Karl has scored at least 25% of Quad Cities Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Madden, who scored six points.
Quad Cities Christian's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24 points. As for Pathway Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Coincidentally, Quad Cities Christian and Pathway Christian will both be playing Morning Star Academy the next time they take the court. Quad Cities Christian will host Morning Star Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Pathway Christian will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
