Camden has won six straight games at home, while South Pointe has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Camden Bulldogs will welcome the South Pointe Stallions at 6:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Camden is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Dreher: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Camden blew Dreher out of the water with a 75-40 final score. With the Bulldogs ahead 43-22 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Camden relied on the efforts of Morgan Champion, who went 9 of 17 on her way to 24 points along with six rebounds and five assists, and Shanaryah Wright, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 boards. Champion has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 17 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Harmony Jefferson, who posted six points and 12 steals.
Camden smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led South Pointe over Richland Northeast in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that South Pointe blew Richland Northeast out of the water with a 64-18 final score. Given the Stallions' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Cavaliers are ranked 118th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
South Pointe found their leader in freshman Kaleigh Lucas, who went 8 for 19 en route to 23 points in addition to eight steals and five boards. That's the most steals Lucas has posted since back in December of 2024. Kemoni Hardy was another key player, putting up nine points and six steals.
Camden has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 44.2 points. As for South Pointe, their win bumped their record up to 20-0.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Camden and South Pointe are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Camden hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 71.1 points per game. However, it's not like South Pointe struggles in that department as they've been averaging 67.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Camden came up short against South Pointe in their previous meeting on January 8th, falling 66-54. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lucas, who went 8 of 16 on her way to 26 points. Now that Camden knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time?
