Preston put another one in the bag  on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the McLoud Redskins get on the board and left with  a   10-0  victory. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won five matchups by eight  runs or more  so far this season.
 Jace Basquez and  Jayden Herring were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Basquez   struck out eight batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Meanwhile,  Herring   pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in three consecutive appearances. At the plate,  Basquez  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2, while  Herring  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  home run, six  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  RBI were  Herring's first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Noah Wilson was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  he  launched this season.  Gage Ausbrooks was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.

 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Preston will challenge Porter at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for McLoud, they will take on Ada at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. McLoud will need to watch out since Ada has now posted at least ten  runs  every time they've taken the field this season.
