Cornerstone Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Humble Christian with points to spare, taking the game 28-12. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Cornerstone Christian Academy has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Humble Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kelly Paulk. Despite the final result, she scored eight points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Paulk scored a full 66.7% of Humble Christian's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Cornerstone Christian Academy's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Humble Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Christian Academy will take on Alpha Omega Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Alpha Omega Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for Humble Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Second Baptist University-Model at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
