The much-anticipated showdown between
Wheaton-Warrenville South (Wheaton, Ill.) and
East (Belleville, Ill.) was not much of a contest at all.
Reilly O'Toole threw just seven
incompletions all night.

That's because
Reilly O'Toole was just about perfect.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the Illinois-bound quarterback completed 22 of 29 passes for 380 yards and three scores and ran for a 25-yard touchdown as Warrenville South remained undefeated with a 41-7 victory in the Class 7A semifinals on Saturday.
The Tigers (13-0), No. 15 in the
MaxPreps Xcellent 25 national rankings, seek their seventh state crown and second straight next week against Lake Surich.
Warrenville gained more than 500 yards of offense, including 108 yards rushing on 12 carries by
Matthew Rogers. He had a 36-yard touchdown jaunt on his team's second play from scrimmage.
From there, it was pretty much all O'Toole, who completed two TD passes to
Titus Davis, who finished with seven catches for 172 yards. Teammate
Caleb Bednarz added 10 tackles.

Kevin Gettis led East with 14 carries for 73 yards and a touchdown.
East finished 10-3.

Hilliard Davidson-Ohio (13-0) would need to upend
Pickerington Central 13-6 in the Region 3 title game.
According to the Columbus Dispatch, J.D. Detmer added field goals of 32 and 47 yards in the second quarter and
Grant Hammond bulled in from the 2 to close to 13-6 in the third quarter.
But Pickerington Central, No. 25 in the Xcellent 25, couldn't muster enough offense in the fourth quarter and dropped to 11-1. Central entered averaging 39 points per game.
Hillard Davidson, the defending state large-school champion, is 13-0. The Wildcats have allowed just 17 points to Central in three playoff games over the last three seasons.
This was the 11th time this season an opponent has failed to score double digits against Davidson.
No. 4 Katy (Texas) rolls up 606 yards, rolls into 5A semifinalsAccording to the Houston Chronicle,
Katy didn't play its best yet still piled up 606 yards, including 422 on the ground in a 55-20 Class 5A Division 1 Region III playoff win over
Cy-Fair (Cypress).
Donovan Young rushed for 194 yards and three scores and
Adam Taylor 142 yards and two touchdowns for the No. 4 team nationally in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25.
Brooks Haack added 184 yards passing for the winners (12-0), who next week face North Shore, a team Katy defeated 44-6 in the season opener.
Katy committed three turnovers, two that resulted in Cy Fair touchdowns, including a 15-yard touchdown run by
John Jacob following a fumbled snap on the opening play.
Katy responded with 27 straight points to take control, but it was a superb turnaround season for Cy Fair, which went 0-10 last year but this season finished 9-3.
No. 7 St. Edward (Ohio) romps past previously unbeaten SolonAccording to the Cleveland Plain Dealer,
St. Edward (Lakewood) raced to a 35-0 halftime lead and cruised to its second Division I regional title in 10 years with a 42-14 win over
Solon.
Quarterback Kevin Burke (17 carries, 179 yards) sealed with win with a 63-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter for St. Edward, which has outscored three playoff foes 125-36.
The Eagles (13-0), who play Whitmer (12-1) next week, piled up 309 yards including 103 and three touchdowns by Terrell Bates. St. Edwards averages 290 pounds along the offensive line.
Solon finished 12-1, losing for the second straight year in the regional final after 12 straight wins. Quarterback
Chris Humphrey scored on a 66-yard run and
Ryan Schwenke returned an interception 42 yards for another score.
