The Rutherford Rams had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.1 points), and they went ahead and made it 15 on Saturday. They came out on top against Ribault by a score of 56-43.
Rutherford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shakirah Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Edwards hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nautica Bouie, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Rutherford pushed their record up to 17-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Ribault, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-5 record this season.
Rutherford will head out on the road to take on Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bay will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 480th, while Rutherford is ranked 18th). As for Ribault, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bolles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
