Chatham is 8-2 against Catskill since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will face off against the Cats at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Chatham's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Hudson by a score of 3-0. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Thomas Pierro, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. He has become a key player for Chatham: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Wilber, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Catskill beat Ichabod Crane 6-3 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Cats have won by exactly three runs.
John McKenna was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other pitching news, Lucas Paquette looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
McKenna wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Davies, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Cam Newkirk also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Chatham's record now sits at 4-8. As for Catskill, their record is now an identical 4-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Chatham has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Catskill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Chatham beat Catskill 9-5 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
