The Baboquivari Warriors had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past San Simon 54-24 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-7.
Kara Baptisto was her usual excellent self, scoring 33 points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. The matchup was her 16th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sulamae Castro, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Baboquivari's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for San Simon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baboquivari won't have much time to rest: their next match is against San Tan Foothills at 5:30 p.m. on January 10th.
