Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Edgewood walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Indianapolis Washington Continentals a 7-0 shutout on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Edgewood and bumps their season record up to 12-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Indianapolis Washington, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Edgewood will square off against Cascade at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cadets have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. Indianapolis Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
