While Eastside's victory against Kennedy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Ghosts had just enough and edged out the Knights 6-5 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Ghosts.

Eastside got a great performance from Francis Tejeda as he struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Eastside let Dominick Cruz and Zahid Martinez run wild. Cruz went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Martinez went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Angel Liranzo, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Eastside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matchups.

The win got Eastside back to even at 4-4. As for Kennedy, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastside will head out to take on Passaic Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Kennedy, they will venture away from home to face off against West Milford at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Highlanders have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
