Pasquotank County is 1-9 against First Flight since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pasquotank County Panthers will look to defend their home court against the First Flight Nighthawks at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Pasquotank County didn't have quite enough to beat Currituck County and fell 72-70. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (58), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jamari Seymore, who went 8 of 16 on his way to 23 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Branden Smith, who went 5 for 10 en route to 16 points and six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Pasquotank County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for First Flight on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Holmes out of the water with an 81-45 final score. The Nighthawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.
Pasquotank County better keep an eye on Mason Dobie. He was instrumental in First Flight's win, putting up 39 points. The match was Dobie's 15th in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Carlyle, who scored 11 points.
First Flight has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.7 points. As for Pasquotank County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Pasquotank County and First Flight are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Pasquotank County hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 64.7 points per game. However, it's not like First Flight struggles in that department as they've been averaging 72.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Pasquotank County might still be hurting after the 90-65 defeat they got from First Flight in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Dobie, who posted 37 points. Now that Pasquotank County knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time?
