It's playoff time, and Mendon had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the St. Patrick Shamrocks 18-3 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won 22 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The win was the sixth in a row for Mendon, bringing their record up to 26-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for St. Patrick, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Mendon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Patrick, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-4 win against Decatur on the 7th.
