After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Simmons, the Leland Cubs were happy to have found some success on Monday. They secured a 35-31 W over West Tallahatchie. This was a revenge match for Leland, as the team was forced to settle for a 28-25 loss when these two played last Friday.
Several Choctaws players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kydresha Washington, who scored nine points.
Leland's win bumped their record up to 4-21. As for West Tallahatchie, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
Leland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Tallahatchie also has no future games currently scheduled.
