The Shoshoni Wranglers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 12th straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 58-27 to Wind River, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Shoshoni in their matchups with Wind River: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Shoshoni still got an impressive performance from Megan Harris, who scored nine points.
Shoshoni was without their leading scorer, Abigail Jennings, in Friday's contest. With Jennings sidelined, Cammie Cornell got Cornell first action of the season.
Shoshoni's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.8 points per game. As for Wind River, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-7.
Shoshoni didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-28 defeat vs. Rocky Mountain on the 10th. Wind River has also already played their next match, a 60-48 victory against Greybull on the 10th.
