The Lake Buena Vista Vipers and the Gateway Panthers squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Lake Buena Vista Vipers had to settle for second. They suffered a tough 70-44 defeat at the hands of the Panthers. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lake Buena Vista in their matchups with Gateway: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Lake Buena Vista lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bryan Mwangovya. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. Travis Ligene was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Lake Buena Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Gateway, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-11.
Lake Buena Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gateway, they will take on Lake Wales at TBD on Thursday. Hopefully Lake Wales focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
