The Eastmoor Academy Warriors suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were dealt a 68-35 loss at the hands of Bishop Ready. Eastmoor Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-12.
Eastmoor Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Elijah Watkins, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Wooden, who scored seven points.
Eastmoor Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Bishop Ready, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eastmoor Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Walnut Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Walnut Ridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Eastmoor Academy in Ohio (Walnut Ridge is ranked 200th, while Eastmoor Academy is ranked 522nd). As for Bishop Ready, they will head out on the road to face off against Grandview Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Grandview Heights is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
