Moore County stacked a ninth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Richland, posting a 49-13 victory at home. Given Moore County's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Richland is ranked 264th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dawson White continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 77 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 227 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Houston County was the victim of a rough 47-24 defeat at the hands of McEwen on Thursday.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Preston Mitchell, who rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Mitchell was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards. Another player making a difference was Malaki Cary, who gained 162 total yards and two touchdowns.
Moore County's victory was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.09 points. As for Houston County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
