The Maclay Marauders extended their postseason success on Tuesday against the Providence School Stallions. They never let the Stallions onto the board and left with a 4-0 win. Considering Maclay has won 12 matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Elias Strickland, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Maclay squad sat out for Tuesday's match. With Strickland sitting this one out, Max Colon got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 57).
The victory was the 11th in a row for Maclay, bringing their record for this year to 17-1-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 56 goals over those 11 contests. As for Providence School, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7-3 record this season.
Maclay will take on P.K. Yonge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. P.K. Yonge is coming into the match with eight straight wins on the road, meaning Maclay will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. Providence School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
