The Miramonte Matadors will head out on the road to take on the Alhambra Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Miramonte knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully the Bulldogs like a good challenge.
Miramonte pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-58 to Ygnacio Valley. Despite the defeat, Miramonte got a solid performance out of Marcus Robinson, who scored 25 points. Robinson hasn't dropped below 21 points for three straight games. Chris Kaufhold was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Alhambra had to settle for a 41-38 defeat against the Falcons on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Alhambra has suffered against the Falcons since February 6, 2016.
