The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Foxcroft Academy in their matchups with Dexter: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Foxcroft Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Allie Smith. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season.
Foxcroft Academy bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Dexter, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foxcroft Academy will face off against Mount Desert Island at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mount Desert Island presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Foxcroft Academy in Maine (Mount Desert Island is ranked 31st, while Foxcroft Academy is ranked 93rd). As for Dexter, they will head out on the road to challenge Stearns at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
