Baseball Recap: Lookout Valley's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lookout Valley came into Thursday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Patriots 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellowjackets have posted against the Patriots since May 4, 2019.

The team relied heavily on Eli Pell, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Lookout Valley: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-21 otherwise. Jackson Myers was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Lookout Valley picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-23. As for Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-12.

Coincidentally, Lookout Valley and Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences will both be playing East Hamilton the next time they take the field. The Patriots will host the Hurricanes at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, while the Yellowjackets will play them later in the day, at 8:15 p.m.
