Even though the Tower Hill Hillers scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, the Sanford Warriors still came out on top. Sanford took their contest against Tower Hill 68-56. Given Sanford's advantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Tower Hill is ranked 34th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jayden Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Stephen Conway was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Sanford has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Tower Hill, they have fallen quite a ways from their 18-5 record last season and are now at 3-5.
Sanford will be playing at home against Wilmington Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Wilmington Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Tower Hill, they will head out on the road to square off against Conrad Science at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
