The Riverview Pirates lost against the Carlson Marauders back in December of 2014, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Riverview fell 47-36 to Carlson. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Riverview has scored all season.
Among those leading the charge was Austin Saavedra, who scored 12 points along with three blocks. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jackson Zachary was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Riverview's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Carlson, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Riverview won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Grosse Ile at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. Grosse Ile is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Carlson, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodhaven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
