Columbia has gone 7-0-1 against Oberlin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Raiders will face off against the Phoenix at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Keystone hit Columbia with a four-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Raiders lost 10-0 to the Wildcats. The game marked the first time this year in which the Raiders were not able to get on the board.

Columbia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sadie Schulke, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Oberlin couldn't beat Clearview on Monday even though they stacked 12 runs on them in the first inning. The Phoenix came up short against the Clippers, falling 31-18. Even if the Phoenix couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Amaya Price made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Whitehouse, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Oberlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Columbia hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .401. However, it's not like Oberlin struggles in that department as they've averaged .373. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Columbia took their victory against Oberlin when the teams last played back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 14-2 score. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Phoenix have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
