Baseball Recap: Lockhart Has No Trouble Against Jarrell

Lockhart never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Jarrell Cougars 10-0. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.

Parker Conner was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Santiago Guerra was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Lockhart pushed their record up to 4-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing nine hits in those games compared to only 5.25 in the others. As for Jarrell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Lockhart will welcome Navarro at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jarrell, they will take on University in a tournament on Friday.
