Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees walked away with it. They secured a 7-3 W over the Bobcats on Friday. The win was familiar territory for Stephenville who now have nine in a row.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Stephenville's defense and their seven sacks. Philip Wiggins was especially locked on to Celina's QB and sacked him three times.
Stephenville's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Celina, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 11-2.
Stephenville will be playing at home against Anna at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Anna is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Celina does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
