With a playoff win on the line, Palmetto rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 63-56 victory over the Mountain View Prep Stars. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Several Stars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ma'Ori Henderson, who posted ten points and five steals. Those five steals gave Henderson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Termaine Williams, who went 7-for-12 on his way to 14 points and five boards.
The win got Palmetto back to even at 10-10. As for Mountain View Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-14.
Looking ahead, Palmetto will take on Belton-Honea Path at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Belton-Honea Path's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. Mountain View Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
