Softball Recap: Holt's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Holt came into Tuesday's match having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Central Falcons on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-4 back in February.

Addison Hallman was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Janiyah Blakely, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Holt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .556 or higher in four consecutive games.

Holt's record is now 3-7. As for Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Coming up, Holt will be playing in front of their home fans against American Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 27-11 win against Paul W. Bryant on the 26th.
