After flying high against Prairie Valley last Tuesday, Midway came back down to earth. The Midway Falcons fell 41-33 to the Forestburg Longhorns on Friday. The Falcons have struggled against the Longhorns recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Forestburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brenna Briles, who almost dropped a triple-double on 12 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists. Briles is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelynn Rich, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Midway's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Forestburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.
