Lincoln County is 0-4 against East Jessamine since April of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The Patriots will welcome the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. Lincoln County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
While Lincoln County's victory against Model wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Lincoln County skirted past Model 7-5.

Trinity Price was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Halle Siler was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Chloe Pennington, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
East Jessamine hadn't beaten Henry Clay on the road since April 6, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Jaguars were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Blue Devils.
Like Lincoln County, East Jessamine also got a great game from a two-way player: Remie Smith. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Smith has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Kylee Oliver was incredible, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Hillary Stansbury was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
East Jessamine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
East Jessamine's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Lincoln County, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5.
Lincoln County's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's contest. The Patriots have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for East Jessamine, though, as they've been averaging only 1.4 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Lincoln County continue to outrun the ball?
