It was a good run, but the Burbank Titans unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 75-51 walloping at the hands of Christian Brothers. Burbank has struggled against Christian Brothers recently, as their contest on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Burbank's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Robinson, who scored 16 points. Paris Clay was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 5 rebounds.
It was another big night for Shawn Underwood Jr., who scored 24 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists for Christian Brothers. The game was Underwood Jr.'s third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Exander Irving-Romero, who scored 15 points.
Burbank's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Christian Brothers, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burbank is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Chavez at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Chavez is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Christian Brothers, they will head out on the road to face off against Monterey Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monterey Trail is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
