The timing is sure in Miami Beach's favor as the team sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Coral Park has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Miami Beach scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 74-58 victory over JC Bermudez Doral. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Miami Beach's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samuel Goldstein, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Goldstein scored 15 or more points. Baptiste T was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Meanwhile, everything went Coral Park's way against Marathon on Saturday as Coral Park made off with a 76-50 win.
Miami Beach's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Coral Park, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Things could have been worse for Miami Beach, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 74-57 loss to Coral Park in their previous meeting back in January of 2020. Can Miami Beach avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
